​Our client who we are thrilled to be working with are looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join their team, situated in the lovely village of Whitfield, just outside Dover in Kent, with easy access to mainland Europe, high-speed rail links to London and only twenty minutes from the beautiful, historic city of Canterbury.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate would need to have surgical experience, be comfortable with periods of sole charge and willing to mentor a new graduate vet. Ideal for those who have a passion for teaching and sharing knowledge and experience.

Rota:

The role consists of 40 hours over 4 days between Monday and Friday 8 am-6:30 pm and 1/4 Saturdays 8:30 am – 12:30 pm with no OOH or Bank Holidays. Work-life balance is extremely important to us, and we can offer a variety of working patterns to cover 40 hours over 5 days that can flex with you and your lifestyle.

They have a friendly and supportive team, who pride themselves in delivering exceptional care to their clients and patients. The premises are light and spacious, with separate dog and cat waiting areas, four consulting rooms, a large prep area and a dedicated surgical suite. The surgery is well equipped, including in-house laboratory equipment, a digital x-ray machine, flexible endoscopy, and a recently upgraded ultrasound machine.

The vet team are supported by 6 RVNs, one SVN and 2 receptionists as well as an experienced Practice Manager. They encourage their nurses to utilise their skills and develop areas of interest.
