Lloyd & Cowan is a specialist Veterinary Recruitment Consultancy who are thrilled to be working with a practice who looking for an enthusiastic and committed Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and encouraging team. Support will be provided for a new or recent graduate but the role could be equally suited to a vet with more experience looking to develop their career.
Role:
They are ideally looking for a full time vet however they are able to support part time, flexi time and a rota to be able to work with school hours.
The full time rota is 40 hours a week over 4 days however they can accommodate 8 hours over 5 if you prefer. 1:4 Saturdays 8:30am-6:30pm and 1 late evening on call a week, again this is fully negotiable to suit your needs. Time off is given in lieu of weekends work, giving a long weekend every month.
Salary up to £60,000 per annum DOE + £5,000 relocation allowance
About:
This practice is a progressive first opinion small animal practice set across 2 sites in rural Herefordshire countryside, in the heart of the Wye Valley. Both sites are fully equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab and laser therapy. They have a mixed caseload and endeavour to provide an exceptional standard of care.
The team benefits from a wealth of experience with both medicine and surgery certificate holders. They perform a range of advanced orthopaedic procedures including TPLO’s in house, but have the benefit of a local referral network when required. They have a well-established loyal team ethic ensuring every team member is valued and invested in. You will be supported by a team of 3 other vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and 6 support staff.
Applicant Requirements:
Ideally some experience with SA in practice, but support can be given for a new or recent graduate. Must be MRCVS registered and have exceptional bedside manner. Their new Veterinary Surgeon will have a positive can do attitude, be an active team player and strong communication skills.
