Flexibility, Support and Wellbeing are important to them… if they are important to you too, they could be the practice you are looking for.

A practice we are delighted to be working with in Derbyshire have just celebrated 2 years in practice and they are ready to welcome another vet to their team at their practice! Vet and Joint Venture Partner, and her team have created something special - a general practice with a great and varied client base that really cares about colleagues, clients and pets.

What you can expect from them:
•    A good salary, offering up to £50k dependant on experience
•    20 days holiday + Bank Holidays, that increases to 25 days after 2 years’ service
•    20% discount
•    A diary that is managed well to give you a real balance - ensuring you have plenty of breaks, proper admin time and finish your day on time
•    a supportive team that values you, where their ethos is to treat each other the way they'd like to be treated themselves, and appreciate each individual input.

If this sounds like a practice you would like to be part of, then this may be the practice for you.  The manager and her team of Nurses and Receptionists have worked hard to make the practice a success, and they continue to go from strength to strength. They are now looking for a new enthusiastic vet to join them as they grow further. This is a great opportunity if you are looking to build your own client base or have new ideas of how to do or shape things, as they are a team who are always open to new ideas. You will find you will build great client relationships in this role and will see a real variety of cases.

Their small animal practice,  is bright, spacious and air-conditioned with separate dog, cat and isolation wards, built to industry leading standards. They have good quality ultrasonography and digital radiography, as well as dental radiography, along with other equipment to enable them to offer a complete general practice service.

You will have solid medical and surgical skills and, ideally, be confident with some sole charge. Key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the role, delivering excellent patient and client care. You will be a strong team player and enjoy the variety the role will bring. If you are keen to develop within your own area of interest, they offer a generous CPD allowance and plenty of support.

They can offer full or part time hours, which will cover a weekend rota of 1 in 2 Saturday mornings, 9am to 12pm. There is no Sunday working or OOHs.

Experience is preferred, but an enthusiastic recent graduate vet wanting to further their general practice career will also be considered.

They are based in the small town of Heanor located just off of the M1, junction 26. The East Midlands airport is only 20 minutes away and you can reach the centre of Nottingham within half an hour. By working with them you will also enjoy:
•    Contributory pension scheme
•    Memberships paid
•    Free on-site parking
