A busy and well established small animal practice in Wigan is looking to welcome a Veterinary Surgeon to their team. This is a great opportunity to join a larger, multi vet setup with a strong clinical team and a genuinely supportive culture, offering full flexibility around how you structure your working week.
The Role
This position is built around flexibility. There is no fixed rota or set hours, and the team are open to shaping the role around what works best for you. Whether you’re looking for full time, part time, shorter days or a tailored week, this can be accommodated.
The only requirement is some contribution to the 1 in 5 Saturday rota (9am to 3pm).
You will be working with a varied and interesting caseload, with a good balance of consults and surgery. Consults are typically 20 to 30 minutes, with protected admin time built into the day to support workload and help you leave on time.
The Team
You will be joining a well staffed, multi vet team including 5 vets, 8 RVNs, VCAs and a dedicated front of house team.
The nursing team is highly skilled, with advanced diploma holders and certificates in anaesthesia, ECC and feline nursing, meaning strong clinical support day to day.
It’s a collaborative and supportive environment, where ideas are encouraged and the focus is on delivering high standards of patient care.
What They’re Looking For
- A vet with some experience in small animal practice, at least 2 years post graduate UK experience
- Confident in consultations and routine procedures
- Strong communication skills
- RCVS registered
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively
