Veterinary Surgeon – Exotics/Small Animal | Brighton | Up to £60,000
Looking for a position that offers genuine variety in a fantastic coastal setting?
We’re looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a warm and supportive team at an RCVS-accredited Brighton veterinary hospital, working across an exciting 50/50 caseload of exotics alongside cats and dogs.
About the Role
This full-time role is worked across 4 days per week and offers exposure to a diverse caseload of both exotic and small animal medical and surgical cases within a busy hospital environment.
Rota
- 4-day week
- 1:5 full weekends
- 1:15 second on-call rota
The Practice
For over 45 years, this well-established hospital has been providing exceptional clinical care across the region. The purpose-built site is supported by five branch practices and offers advanced facilities.
The established exotics department benefits from a dedicated ward and an experienced nursing team, alongside separate wards for cats, dogs, isolation, and day procedures.
The Team
You’ll be joining a collaborative and highly experienced team with certificate holders across orthopaedics, ophthalmology, advanced imaging, and exotics.
The exotics team is known for its supportive culture, strong teamwork, and focus on professional growth, with close working relationships between vets and nurses and links with local wildlife groups.
Candidate Requirements
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Previous experience managing exotic medical and surgical cases
Package
- Salary up to £60,000 DOE
- 6.6 weeks holiday including bank holidays
- £1,750 CPD allowance
- RCVS membership plus two additional memberships paid
- VDS cover
- CPD and career progression support
