We at Lloyd & Cowan are delighted to be working with a practice who are seeking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their amazing team of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 Veterinary Nurses, a Veterinary Care assistant, a practice manager and 4 receptionists.

They run their own out of hours service on site. Right now, every Vet has one night on call per week and one weekend every five. Vets have a half day off following the weeknight on call, working on a four-and-a-half-day rota per week.
They always have a Veterinary Nurse on duty alongside and vets have the whole Friday off after doing a weekend on call. They never work longer than 8.5hours a day, including one hour of lunch.

They do have two separate wards, for canine and feline inpatients, plus an isolation ward. Their cat ward has been designed to the highest standard of feline medicine.

The salary will be up to £65,000 depending on experience.

About them:

They are all general practitioners, some of them already hold or are in the process of getting an International Certificate done, and every member of staff is encouraged and supported to increase their own skills and knowledge in everyone's main area of interest.

They benefit from a very large parking area and the reception has two separated waiting areas, one for dogs and one smaller for cats. They are a very successful training practice. It allows them to train staff to the high standard they aim.

They have two main consult rooms, with big bright windows facing the garden, and one ophthalmic room.
They also have a fully equipped staff room, with kitchen, sofa, and armchairs, and two officers both used by clinical and non-clinical staff.

Andover is a medium sized market town surrounded by beautiful countryside. It has great connection to airports, London, and other cities such as Southampton. Beaches are just one hour away by car.

They employ seven Veterinary Surgeons, seven Veterinary Nurses, one Veterinary Care assistant, a practice manager and four receptionists. They also have a University Student nurse working with them full time.
