Position Overview

This role involves developing and maintaining a high-quality, efficient, and effective medical team. The Soft Tissue Surgeon will foster an environment of trust, teamwork, and accountability, working in tandem with the Hospital Manager and reporting directly to the Regional Manager.

Essential Position Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive patient work-ups, including thorough physical exams and obtaining complete patient histories.

  • Communicate medical findings and recommendations effectively to pet owners.

  • Perform pre-op exams, diagnostics, and surgeries with precision and care.

  • Maintain accurate medical records in line with AAHA guidelines.

  • Manage pharmacy duties, including prescribing and overseeing controlled substances.

  • Promote teamwork and support staff to enhance efficiency and a positive work environment.

  • Estimate client invoices accurately and communicate costs clearly.

  • Engage in continuing education and assist with staff training.
