Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
South Manchester
An established and progressive small animal group in South Manchester is looking to welcome an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet wanting exposure to a varied caseload, strong clinical support, and excellent long-term development opportunities within a highly equipped hospital environment.
The Role
You would be joining a large, collaborative veterinary team with access to experienced colleagues, certificate holders, and an in-house referral service. The role offers an excellent mix of consulting, surgery, and case continuity within a busy first opinion setting.
This would suit a vet who enjoys working cases up thoroughly and is looking to continue developing both medically and surgically within a supportive environment.
Full time position
4 day working week
Shared weekend rota
Occasional late evening shifts (5pm–11pm) supported by the dedicated hospital/OOH team
No on-call requirements
The Practice & Facilities
The wider group includes a Tier 3 hospital alongside a strong in-house referral setup, allowing access to advanced diagnostics, imaging, and treatment options without needing to refer externally.

• CT scanner and visiting MRI
• Digital radiography
• Ultrasound and dental radiography
• Flexible and rigid endoscopy
• Laparoscopy and fluoroscopy
• Advanced anaesthesia equipment
• Dedicated hospital and referral support
Clinical Development
