Are you a Veterinary Nurse looking for your next step in a supportive, close-knit clinic where your contribution genuinely matters?
This permanent, full-time role offers the chance to join a welcoming team in Mosgiel, where every day you’ll make a positive difference to the lives of pets and their people. You’ll work Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday shift on a shared rotating roster, giving you stability, balance, and variety.

About the Role

Reporting to the Clinic Coordinator, you’ll work alongside experienced veterinarians, nurses, and support staff, contributing to excellent patient outcomes and a positive clinic culture.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care, including administering medications and supporting anaesthesia.

Monitor patient recovery and respond promptly to changes in condition.

Assist in surgical procedures and support smooth theatre workflow.

Provide clear, confident communication to pet owners regarding treatment plans and post-care advice.

Share knowledge and support the development of colleagues and junior team members.

Collaborate with veterinarians and clinic staff to improve efficiency and patient care.

Maintain accurate clinical records and assist with stock management and clinic organisation.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who brings both technical skill and genuine care:

New Zealand working rights.

A Diploma (or equivalent) in Veterinary Nursing.

Ideally 2+ years’ experience, although newly qualified nurses with strong motivation and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Interest or confidence in anaesthesia and patient monitoring, with a desire to continue developing these skills.
