About the Role

This is more than just a nursing role – it’s an opportunity to be part of a clinic where you’re supported to grow, trusted with responsibility, and encouraged to build meaningful relationships with clients and patients.

Reporting to the Clinic Coordinator, you’ll work alongside experienced veterinarians, nurses, and support staff, contributing to excellent patient outcomes and a positive clinic culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Share knowledge and support the development of colleagues and junior team members.

  • Collaborate with veterinarians and clinic staff to improve efficiency and patient care.

  • Maintain accurate clinical records and assist with stock management and clinic organisation.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who brings both technical skill and genuine care:

  • New Zealand working rights.

  • A Diploma (or equivalent) in Veterinary Nursing.

  • Ideally 2+ years’ experience, although newly qualified nurses with strong motivation and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

  • Interest or confidence in anaesthesia and patient monitoring, with a desire to continue developing these skills.

  • A warm, approachable manner with both clients and colleagues.

  • Strong communication skills and a calm, professional approach.

  • A compassionate, patient-first mindset.

  • A collaborative, team-oriented attitude.

  • Reliability and pride in delivering consistently high standards of care.

  • A genuine passion for strengthening the bond between pets and the people who love them.

What You’ll Get in Return

You’ll be supported both professionally and personally with:

  • Competitive remuneration.

  • Funded CPD and ongoing professional development.

  • Six-monthly development and career progression conversations.

  • Superannuation contributions.

  • Staff discounts on veterinary services and products.

  • Annual flu vaccination.

  • Paid birthday leave.

  • Long service leave.

  • Enhanced parental leave benefits.

  • Flexible working arrangements where possible.
