The Role:
You’ll be working closely with a talented veterinary and nursing team, reporting to the Lead Veterinary Nurse. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with occasional Saturday/on-call shifts on a rotating roster. In this role, you’ll have access to high-end technology, including in-house blood and urine analyzers, ultrasound, x-ray, and advanced monitoring equipment. If you thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment where nurses are empowered to use their full skill set - this is for you.
Responsibilities:
Administering medications and anaesthesia with confidence.
Monitoring anaesthetics and patient recovery, responding to changes as needed.
Assisting with surgeries to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
Educating clients on treatment plans, procedures, and post-care.
Mentoring and guiding junior team members.
Collaborating with veterinarians and the wider team.
Maintaining records, managing supplies, and contributing to continuous improvements.

About You
Diploma (or equivalent) in Veterinary Nursing with at least 2 years’ experience.
Strong skills in anaesthesia and patient monitoring (interest in orthopaedics a bonus!)
Excellent communication skills to support both clients and colleagues.
A passion for patient care and strengthening the bond between pets and their families.
Current working rights in New Zealand.
