Registered Veterinary Nurse – Supportive Team | Career Progression | No OOH

Are you a dedicated Veterinary Nurse looking to take the next step in your career? We’re working with a long-established and progressive small animal practice in the West of Ireland that’s looking to welcome a new RVN to their friendly and experienced team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking practice that offers both first-opinion and referral-level care, with excellent opportunities for clinical development and genuine work-life balance.

The Role:

  • Full-time, permanent position

  • 40 hours per week across 5 days

  • 1 in 4 Saturday rota

  • No out-of-hours or on-call

  • Competitive salary from €30,000, depending on experience

  • CPD allowance with paid CPD leave

  • Funded training, certificates, and structured development support

  • Ideal start date: July 2025

  • New graduates welcome—mentorship and support provided

You’ll work across a varied caseload, including general nursing duties and assisting with more advanced procedures such as orthopaedics, diagnostic imaging, and internal medicine. If you're eager to grow your skills in a well-supported environment, this could be the perfect fit.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Registered (or eligible for registration) with the Veterinary Council of Ireland

  • Experience is welcome, but not essential—graduates will receive full support

  • A collaborative mindset and positive attitude

  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn

  • Full driving licence required (occasional work between two nearby branches)

Why Join This Practice?

  • Supportive and welcoming nursing and clinical team

  • Exposure to referral-level care in a well-equipped environment

  • Opportunities for growth in both clinical and leadership pathways

  • No out-of-hours work, supporting your work-life balance

Benefits include (pro rata):

  • Enhanced annual leave, plus birthday leave

  • Paid maternity, paternity, and adoption leave

  • Sick pay and bereavement leave

  • Pension contributions

  • Funded CPD and further qualifications

  • Internal development academies and progression programmes

  • Retail discounts, staff wellness support, and more

  • Staff pet care discounts

This is a rare opportunity to be part of a genuinely supportive and professional team where your skills will be valued and your development encouraged.
