Registered Veterinary Nurse

A leading veterinary hospital in the East of Scotland is looking for an enthusiastic and capable Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their growing clinical team.

The Role
This is a full-time clinical nursing role with a varied weekly rota, including a mix of early, standard, and late shifts, as well as a fair share of weekend cover. There is no out-of-hours or on-call work, with all emergency care handled externally.
You’ll be working across a broad caseload, supporting a team of experienced clinicians in a fast-paced but welcoming hospital environment. You’ll also have the opportunity to engage in nurse clinics and contribute to the overall smooth running of inpatient care and theatre operations.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high standards of clinical care across medical and surgical cases

Provide excellent nursing care to hospitalised patients

Assist with anaesthesia monitoring, diagnostics, and medication administration

Support vets with procedures and patient admissions/discharges

Carry out nurse-led clinics and provide client education when required

Maintain cleanliness, sterility, and safety in clinical areas

Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, health & safety standards, and controlled drug regulations

Contribute to stock management, meetings, and general practice duties
About You

RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

Comfortable in a hospital or busy practice setting

Confident in general nursing duties, patient care, and anaesthetic monitoring

Great communicator and proactive team player

Able to multitask and adapt in a dynamic clinical environment

Keen to learn, contribute, and support colleagues
-
Open to ongoing CPD and professional development opportunities
