Supportive Team | Varied Caseload | No OOH | Flexible Working Options

Are you a compassionate and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for a role where your skills are recognised, your input matters, and your wellbeing is prioritised?

We’re working with a respected, independent small animal practice in High Wycombe that’s looking to welcome a dedicated RVN to their warm and inclusive team. If you’re seeking a calm, clinically-focused environment where you can thrive, feel supported, and continue to grow—this could be the perfect fit.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

This is a practice where nurses are empowered—you’ll be encouraged to take the lead in consults, be fully involved in patient care, and work closely with a clinical team that genuinely values collaboration and open communication.

The team is friendly, down-to-earth and committed to providing the highest standard of care. With a varied, stimulating caseload and well-equipped facilities, you’ll be able to fully utilise your skillset across all areas of general practice.

The Role:

  • Position: Registered Veterinary Nurse

  • Type: Full-time (4 or 5 days) or part-time considered

  • Shifts: No out-of-hours; weekend work on a fair shared rota

  • Duties: Inpatient care, theatre nursing, consultations, nurse-led clinics, recovery and prep

  • Team: Supportive team of experienced vets and RVNs in a calm, community-focused setting

Whether you enjoy nurse consults, inpatient nursing or surgical support, you’ll have the freedom to explore your interests and make a real difference to both pets and their owners.

About You:

  • RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse (or eligible)

  • Confident in all aspects of general nursing with a team-player mindset

  • Passionate about delivering exceptional care

  • Keen to work in a supportive, non-corporate environment

  • Interest in CPD and professional development encouraged

What’s on Offer:

  • Competitive salary based on experience and hours

  • No OOH or night shifts – a focus on work/life balance

  • Generous CPD allowance, with full support for further training or certificates

  • RCVS and VDS fees paid

  • Staff discount on veterinary services

  • A genuinely friendly, collaborative team culture

  • Well-equipped premises with a diverse caseload

  • Free parking and good transport links

This role would suit a nurse looking to settle into a supportive and welcoming practice that encourages long-term development, clinical freedom, and job satisfaction.
