Registered Veterinary Nurse – Supportive Team, Flexible Hours, and Coastal Living

We’re working with a well-established and community-focused small animal practice in East Sussex, currently looking to expand their nursing team with a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse.

With a strong focus on clinical excellence, patient welfare, and team wellbeing, this practice offers the kind of environment where you can feel truly valued—both professionally and personally.

About the Role
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based at one of the practice’s main branches. You'll be involved in all aspects of small animal nursing—from theatre and inpatient care to nurse consults and routine client communication.

Whether you're newly qualified or bring a wealth of experience, there’s plenty of support here. CPD is actively encouraged, and clinical coaching is part of the culture, making this a great environment for growth.

  • Full-time, 35 hours per week (typically over 4 days)

  • 1 in 6 Saturday mornings (with additional pay)

  • Weekday shifts range from 7:30am–8:00pm

  • No out-of-hours

  • Salary up to £32,000 DOE

What They’re Looking For
A qualified RVN who is passionate about nursing and thrives in a collaborative team setting. The ideal candidate will be confident, kind, and proactive, with a focus on both patient care and client communication.

The Practice
This is a busy, RCVS-accredited first opinion practice with a loyal client base and a great reputation in the local community. The team includes a balanced mix of vets, nurses, student nurses, and support staff — all working together to provide a high standard of care. Regular team meetings and a focus on communication help maintain a strong and supportive culture.

The facilities are modern and well-equipped, and the practice embraces a progressive approach to veterinary care.

Why Join?
Staff wellbeing is taken seriously here. You’ll find a genuinely welcoming, close-knit team that enjoys social events throughout the year and fosters a positive, balanced working environment.

Location Highlights

From coastlines to countryside, and with excellent transport links (London is just over an hour by train), the location offers plenty to explore during your downtime.

Benefits Include:

  • 6 weeks annual leave (incl. bank holidays)

  • £600 CPD allowance annually

  • RCVS fees and another membership paid

  • VDS cover
