We're working with a privately owned, well-established small animal practice in East Maitland, just outside Newcastle, that's happy to shape the role around the right vet. Whatever your focus, there's a place for you here.
This could suit you if you're:
- Happy focusing on small animal only
- Keen on exotics and want a genuinely growing caseload (reptiles, birds, pocket pets and wildlife, fed by a local exotics store partnership and agricultural society referrals)
- Or after consult-only work

On offer:
- Salary up to AUD $140,000, depending on experience
- Full or part-time (minimum 3 days per week), on 4x10 or 5x8 shifts, only 1 in 4 Saturdays, no Sundays, bank holidays or on-call
- $2,000 CPD allowance and 5 days' paid study leave
- 4 weeks' annual leave and flexibility around family needs
- Visa sponsorship available for the right long-term candidate
