An established and modern veterinary facility in San Antonio is seeking a Board-Certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist or a Residency-Trained Clinician to join their dynamic team. The facility provides exceptional specialty and emergency care with access to state-of-the-art equipment, including CT, MRI, linear accelerator, ultrasound, endoscopy, and a pulmonetic ventilator. The hospital also features a dedicated pharmacy and an in-house blood bank.
The team has over 25 years of experience in high-quality emergency medicine and critical care and fosters a friendly, fun, and collaborative environment. The hospital is passionate about teaching and mentoring, offering a one-year "ER Academy" internship program designed to build a strong foundation for a successful career in Veterinary Emergency Medicine.
Responsibilities
Provide specialized ophthalmic care to patients, including diagnostics, surgery, and treatment.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of veterinary professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Mentor and guide interns and externs in advanced ophthalmic procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with clients about treatment plans and patient care.
Participate in case discussions and continue to expand the knowledge base of the team through ongoing education.
Qualifications
Board-Certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist or Residency-Trained Clinician
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong clinical knowledge and proficiency in veterinary ophthalmology
