Twilight roles don’t come up often — and this is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and proactive RVN to join a supportive, independent, multi-site veterinary practice.
This is the ideal position for a nurse who enjoys variety, wants to take ownership of their shift, and is looking for a structured role with evenings only, Monday to Friday.
About the Role
As a Twilight Nurse, you’ll rotate across wards, theatre, and client-facing duties. You’ll be key in supporting smooth handovers, monitoring hospitalised patients, and assisting with surgical and diagnostic procedures. You’ll also provide excellent client care during the evening and ensure everything is prepared for the night team.
Shift pattern: Monday–Friday, 4:00pm–12:00am
Key Responsibilities

Support patient handovers and work closely with day and night vets.

Monitor and nurse inpatients, administer medications, and assist with diagnostics.

Prepare patients for surgery, maintain theatre sterility, and safely monitor anaesthesia.

Clean, sterilise, and prepare instruments and equipment.

Support reception/dispensary functions including client queries, medication dispensing, and stock rotation.

Complete routine checklists and assist with laboratory tests.
Skills & Qualifications

Qualified RVN

Confident in anaesthesia, inpatient care, and surgical preparation.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Previous hospital or twilight experience desirable but not essential.
