Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon (1 years experience+)
Manchester
Delighted to be working with a well-run, supportive small animal practice I’m working closely with in Manchester. One of their long-standing vets is relocating, so they’re looking for someone to step into a role that’s been well established within the team.
This would suit a vet with around 1 year plus experience who’s looking to build confidence and continue developing in a structured environment without being thrown in at the deep end. Ideally you will have completed your VetGDP or well underway.
They do have 3 to 4 VetGDP mentors in the team and a strong track record of supporting early-career vets. There’s a real focus on progression with certificate support and training agreements in place, and you’ll be surrounded by others at a similar stage who are doing really well.
The setup will give you a nice mix of caseload. The day runs 8am to 6pm and they manage the diary properly so you’re not overrunning. The last slots are kept lighter such as a booster which makes a big difference to your day-to-day.
Rota is straightforward with 1 in 5 Saturdays (9 to 5), no Sundays and no bank holidays.
- Salary ranges from around £38,000 for newer vets up to £55,000 for those with 4 to 5 years’ experience.
- They’re ideally looking for someone to start in June but can be flexible for the right fit.
This is a confidential hire, so all initial enquiries are being handled through me. If you’re even half curious, it’s worth a chat. Get in touch to avoid missing out.
