About:

We are representing a Small Animal Clinic who are looking for a Senior Vet to join their team. They are looking for a Vet who has the right expertise's, professionalism and compassion that align with the team, to be a part of their future expansion and growth.

The clinic's clients are 60% dogs and 40% cats.  The main clients visit with skin issues, kidney, urinary, vaccinations, testing, FIV/FIP, dehydration, etc. This is a full time role and the clinic are flexible in regards to your working week/rota.

Some Responsibilities:

  • Provide necessary care, treat, provide pain relief, protect, conserve and cure, prescribe medication, and dress wounds.

  • Diagnose, vaccinate, microchip, first aid, administrate medicine, treat acute illnesses, infections or injuries

  • Perform sterilizations/ castrations, removal of foreign objects, and other surgeries as required

  • Operate diagnostic equipment, idexx/ ultrasound equipment, and interpret the resulting images.

  • Oral surgery and tooth extraction.

  • Complete medical care

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A good handle on surgery - good quality work- on spays (large dogs also), castrations, tumour removals, dental extractions, emergency wound treatment.

  • The candidate has to be able to work independently as one of the main Vets, have good communication skills,  strong in diagnosis, treatment ,and be comfortable

  • Compassionate about your work, being flexible and wanting to aid and be a part of this Small Community clinics growth.

  • To become licensed within the UAE you need a minimum of 5 Years post Graduation expereince.

Becoming UAE Licensed:

To be a Veterinarian in Dubai you need to obtain your MOCCAE license, and yes this can be a timely activity but us and the clinic are here to support you and guide you through this process. All those Vets who have done it would say it is absolutely worth It!

The license to obtain does have some main requirements initially:

  • 5 Years of post qualification expereince

  • You need to get equivalency (this can be discussed more if you are interested in the opportunity, support & guidance provided throughout)
