We're working with a well-established, independent small animal practice in East Maitland, just outside Newcastle, seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly, close-knit team. With a practice manager and support staff who've been there well over a decade, you'd be joining somewhere people genuinely stay, and where you'll be properly looked after from day one.

The role:
- Full or part-time (minimum 3 days per week),
- Full time would be 4x10 or 5x8 shifts
- No Sundays, no bank holidays and no on-call, so a genuine work-life balance
- Only 1 in 4 Saturdays
- Never sole charge (bar Saturdays), with 2 to 3 vets on and an experienced nursing team around you
- Emergencies referred, so your evenings are your own

- Salary up to AUD $140,000, depending on experience

- A confident Veterinary Surgeon, registrable with the AVBC in Australia
- Comfortable across small animal medicine, surgery and dentistry

- Open to a consult only vet as well
