Small Animal Veterinarian – Queenstown, New Zealand

We are seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinarian to join a busy, well-established clinic in Queenstown. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week, plus a shared Saturday rota and on-call duties), offering a varied and rewarding caseload alongside a supportive and experienced team.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for a confident vet who enjoys both consulting and surgery, and is looking to further develop their clinical skills in a progressive environment. You’ll work with a loyal client base, handling a diverse range of cases while building strong, lasting relationships with pet owners.
There is genuine scope for progression, with future leadership opportunities available for the right candidate.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver high-quality veterinary care to companion animals
- Perform a mix of consultations, surgery, and medical workups
- Collaborate closely with an experienced nursing and support team
- Contribute to the growth and development of the small animal service
- Maintain excellent client communication and continuity of care
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Veterinarian with 4+ years’ experience in small animal practice
- Eligible for registration in New Zealand
- Confident in routine surgery and medical case management
- Strong communicator with a friendly, approachable manner
- A team player who enjoys a collaborative working environment
Additional skills or interests in areas such as internal medicine, dentistry, or imaging are highly desirable.
