Full-Time Veterinarian – Newcastle / Lake Macquarie Region, NSW

Step into a role where you can genuinely grow your career while being part of a supportive, forward-thinking veterinary team. This is an opportunity to join a well-established small animal practice that blends decades of trusted community care with a strong focus on modern veterinary medicine and continuous improvement.

You’ll be working in a clinic that not only values high-quality patient care, but also actively contributes to animal rescue initiatives and is expanding its capabilities in orthopaedics. If you’re looking to develop your clinical skills in a progressive environment—with access to advanced equipment and mentorship—this role offers exactly that.

Why this role stands out

  • Work in a fully equipped hospital featuring dental X-ray, ultrasound, rigid endoscopy, video otoscopy, tonometry, and a comprehensive orthopaedic setup including TPLO
  • Gain hands-on experience and mentorship from an experienced orthopaedic surgeon who is passionate about teaching
  • Be part of a team that genuinely prioritises collaboration, support, and a positive workplace culture
  • Enjoy a flexible roster designed to support a healthy work/life balance
  • Develop your career with structured support, including continuing education, skill-sharing, and regular feedback

What you’ll bring

  • A Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent recognised in Australia
  • Ideally 3+ years of clinical experience in small animal practice
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset and a positive attitude
  • A genuine desire to continue learning and advancing your clinical skills

What’s on offer

  • Competitive salary package tailored to your experience
  • Flexible working arrangements to support your lifestyle
  • A welcoming and supportive team environment
  • Ongoing professional development, including paid continuing education leave and financial support for external courses
  • Sponsorship available for overseas candidates

This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who wants more than just a job—someone who is looking for mentorship, variety in caseload, and a clear pathway for professional growth in a modern, well-supported practice.
