The role can be full-time or part-time, Monday to Friday only, offering the ideal balance of professional fulfilment and lifestyle flexibility.
For the right person, there’s also the exciting prospect of future profit share opportunities, allowing you to share in the clinic’s success as it continues to grow.
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality veterinary care across a variety of clinical cases
Build lasting relationships with clients and the local community
Oversee the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring smooth, efficient service delivery
Mentor and support your team, fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture
Participate in clinical decision-making, case discussions, and business planning
Continue your professional development and stay at the forefront of veterinary innovation
About you:
BVSc or equivalent qualification, with registration (or eligibility) with the NZ Veterinary Council
3+ years’ experience in companion animal practice
Confident with both medical and surgical cases - and comfortable working sole charge
Excellent communication and leadership skills
A positive, team-oriented approach with strong problem-solving abilities
A genuine passion for client care and animal wellbeing
What’s on Offer:
Competitive salary package plus 3% KiwiSaver
Flexible working hours and no weekend or after-hours work
CPD allowance and structured professional development support
Employee wellbeing and assistance programmes
Staff discounts, paid birthday leave, and long service benefits
Parental leave top-ups and flexible arrangements for work-life balance
Future profit share options for the right candidate
Location:
Nestled between Tongariro National Park and Lake Taupo, this location is a haven for fishing, hiking, skiing, and mountain biking - with a strong, friendly community that will make you feel right at home. Enjoy small-town living, a relaxed pace, and easy access to some of New Zealand’s most breathtaking scenery.
