Veterinary Surgeon
4 Month Fixed Term Contract | South Dublin
3–4 Days Per Week Considered | No OOH
A well organised and growing small animal clinic in South Dublin is looking to welcome an experienced Veterinary Surgeon on a 4 month fixed term contract from June through to the end of September, with the potential for a short extension if required.
This would be a great opportunity for someone looking for a shorter term position within a genuinely supportive and well run environment, whether between permanent roles, relocating, or simply looking for flexibility over the summer months.
The clinic is a modern and steadily growing practice with a loyal client base, currently consisting of 2 vets, experienced nursing support and a dedicated receptionist team. They pride themselves on maintaining a calm, organised working environment with protected lunch breaks, 20 minute consults and appointment only scheduling.
The role itself offers a varied caseload with a nice balance of consults, medicine and surgery. The team are ideally looking for someone comfortable with routine soft tissue procedures including:
- Large Bitch spays
- Lump removals
- Cystotomies
- Foreign body laparotomies
- General first opinion surgery and medical workups
This is very much a GP role rather than referral level practice, but would suit a confident all rounder who enjoys continuity of care and managing cases properly.
The rota can offer flexibility with both 3 or 4 day weeks considered. Saturdays are currently around 1 in 3 or 2 in 3 Saturday mornings, although there may be some flexibility around this as well. No out of hours required.
Package and salary are flexible and dependent on experience, with the clinic very open to discussing what would work best for the right person.
Located in South Dublin, the clinic is easily commutable from across Dublin and surrounding areas with good transport links nearby.
