​We at Lloyd & Cowan are pleased to be working with a practice who are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated team. This role involves all aspects of nursing, with responsibilities varying based on your shift.

About them:

They are a modern, well-equipped practice handling a varied caseload, including orthopaedics and nurse appointments. Their team includes 6 vets, 5 RVNs, 1 SVN, and a supportive group of PM and staff. They value collaboration, encourage career development, and have a long-standing, loyal client base.

What the Role Involves

  • Early nurses assist with surgeries from 9:00-10:00am, support vets with diagnostics (bloods, radiographs, ultrasounds), and handle afternoon nurse consultations.

  • Late nurses take over surgery from 10:15am, covering everything from routine procedures to orthopaedics, while also managing diagnostics and evening consultations.

  • Both nurses share responsibilities for ordering drugs and supplies, and shifts alternate weekly to ensure varied experience.

Rota

They offer flexible working options. Choose between a part-time shift from Wednesday to Friday (22.5 hours) or a full-time schedule, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours) with 1 in 4 Saturdays (9:00am to 12:00pm). Shifts alternate weekly, either 7:45am-3:45pm or 10:15am-6:15pm, and the role requires working across both branches.

Salary:

Up to £29,000 DOE
