I’m delighted to share a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who thrives in a friendly GP environment, enjoys building long-term client relationships, and wants a role where work–life balance is truly respected — with absolutely no out-of-hours responsibilities.
About the Role
This position is perfect for an RVN who loves the variety of first-opinion nursing and enjoys being a key point of continuity for clients and their pets. You’ll work closely with a dedicated vet and a passionate trainee nurse, supporting all aspects of day-to-day practice life and helping shape a warm, welcoming client journey.
The role can be structured from 32 hours per week, with the option to increase to full-time by adding an additional branch day if desired. Your rota will include:
-
1:3 Saturday rotation
-
1:10 Sunday rotation at a nearby 24-hour hospital
-
1 bank holiday per year
-
No OOH requirements — ever
You’ll have every opportunity to run nurse clinics, utilise your full skill set, and help rebuild and strengthen the practice’s bonded client base. As the sole RVN, you’ll also receive leadership support and training, ensuring you feel confident and supported in managing the clinical flow.
You’ll be backed by:
-
A highly experienced regional manager
-
A supportive regional head vet
-
A 24-hour hospital for complex cases and overnight care
This setup allows you to focus entirely on delivering outstanding patient care without the pressure of emergency callouts.
Salary
The salary for this role is £34,000–£37,000 FTE, depending on experience.
