We at Lloyd & Cowan we are thrilled to be working with a practice who are excited to expand their team and they’re looking for an experienced RVN to join their team.

About the practice:

They have a small tight knit team who focus on continuity of care, high clinical standards and putting their patients and clients first. Offering a warm and personable atmosphere with regular opportunities for feedback, meetings, praise and appraisals is a focus for their leadership team and they strive to offer an enjoyable work life. They believe team collaboration is the key to success and fulfilment and that comes across in their team dynamic.

They currently have 3 experienced vets, 4 RVNs and 4 support staff (3 of which have previous nursing experience).

They are looking for someone who values patient welfare and client care, who is motivated, proactive, organised, confident and compassionate. Confidence in consulting, monitoring anaesthetic and day one competencies are needed. They have three main nursing roles which include theatre nursing, kennel/prep nursing and consulting/dispensary nursing. All three roles will be performed throughout the week and are determined by the shift start time to ensure a smooth flow of the day.

The role is for 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday working five 7.5 hour days with 30 minute lunch breaks. Shifts are all between 8.30-4.30, 9-5 and 11-7 on a mixed three weekly rota. Working 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 9am-12pm on a rolling rota. No out-of-hours and predictable rotas well in advance mean they can offer an excellent work-life balance. They do offer opportunities for evening inpatient checks on stable patients when needed.
