We at Lloyd & Cowan are thrilled to be working with a practice who is seeking a fully qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated team. This role requires delivering high-standard nursing care, assisting veterinary surgeons, liaising with clients regarding inpatient care, and conducting nurse clinics.

Role:

Your daily duties will include admitting and discharging patients for routine operations, staying updated on preventative healthcare, product knowledge, and practice policies, and running nurse clinics. You will also ensure the correct disposal of clinical waste and maintain effective stock control and rotation.

You will be responsible for delivering high-standard nursing care to all patients, maintaining accurate client and patient medical records, and competently performing tasks such as monitoring anaesthetics, venepuncture, urine collection, and radiography. Additionally, you will dispense repeat prescriptions, assist with reception duties as needed, train and support Student Veterinary Nurses, and carry out Schedule 3 procedures if suitably trained. Ensuring thorough cleaning and maintenance of equipment, participating in stock orders and biannual stock takes, and keeping all areas adequately stocked are also part of your role.

Rota:

The position involves working Monday to Friday, with 1 in 3 Saturdays. The standard working week is four 10-hour shifts.

Ideal Candidate:

To succeed in this role, you must be a fully qualified RVN committed to maintaining high standards of care. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to work well within a team and support colleagues. Adherence to professional dress code and appearance policies is also required.

Salary:

Up to £35,000 DOE
