Registered Veterinary Nurse | Islington, London
£30,000 to £33,000 | 5 x 8-Hour Shifts | Modern Clinic | 1:1 Vet-to-Nurse Ratio

If you’re an RVN in London looking for a genuinely modern practice, a strong clinical team and the equipment to develop your nursing skills, this is well worth a look.

We’re recruiting for a premium, state-of-the-art veterinary clinic in the Islington area, looking for an RVN with approximately 0 to 3 years’ post-registration experience to join its growing team.

This isn't a huge hospital where you can easily become one of many. Each clinic is deliberately built around a close-knit team of approximately three vets and three nurses, giving you a strong vet-to-nurse ratio and plenty of opportunity to be involved clinically.

The Clinic

The practice has invested heavily in creating a modern clinical environment with excellent facilities, including:

  • Digital X-ray and dedicated imaging suite
  • Vetus 50 ultrasound
  • Dental suite with iM3 CR7 dental X-ray
  • Modern anaesthetic machines, ventilators and patient monitoring
  • Dedicated sterile theatre
  • Endoscopy and laparoscopy equipment
  • Extensive in-house laboratory facilities
  • Separate feline consulting facilities
  • HTVista scanning technology

You’ll have the opportunity to develop across anaesthesia, surgical nursing, diagnostics, inpatient care, dentistry, wound management and emergency cases, with experienced colleagues around you for support.

The Role

This would suit an RVN who enjoys being hands-on and wants to continue progressing clinically. The team is looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates well with clients and colleagues and is open to new ways of working.

You’ll work five 8-hour shifts, with clinic opening hours of 9am to 6pm Monday to Sunday and approximately 1 in 3 weekends.

Salary

  • £30,000 to £33,000, depending on experience.

Benefits include: 5.6 weeks' annual leave including public holidays, increasing to 6.6 weeks after one year, £1,000 CPD allowance plus three paid CPD days, RCVS fees, pension, staff pet discounts and, following probation, private medical insurance for you and your dependants, life assurance and critical illness cover.
