Registered Veterinary Nurse – Elevate Your Career in a Supportive, High-Standards Hospital

I’m delighted to be partnering with a forward-thinking small-animal hospital that is looking to welcome an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to its growing clinical team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working to an exceptional standard, and values being part of a team that takes pride in truly comprehensive patient care.

In this position, you’ll join a skilled, friendly group of veterinary professionals who are committed to clinical excellence, compassion, and continuous learning. You’ll have the opportunity to work with modern facilities, structured support, and a culture that recognises the pivotal role RVNs play in both patient outcomes and client experience.

The Type of Nurse Who Will Excel Here

I’m seeking an RVN who demonstrates:

  • Up-to-date professional registration

  • Two or more years of practical nursing experience

  • A strong interest in small-animal medicine, anaesthesia, and patient care

  • Confidence in communicating with clients and colleagues alike

  • A proactive, organised approach and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced caseload

  • The motivation to broaden skills and embrace ongoing development

A commitment to teamwork and delivering an exceptional standard of care is essential.

What Your Role Will Involve

This hospital operates to a high clinical standard, so your work will be varied and deeply hands-on. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting veterinary surgeons during surgical, diagnostic, and anaesthetic procedures

  • Administering treatments and nursing plans with precision and compassion

  • Providing attentive inpatient care and monitoring

  • Maintaining accurate, professional medical records and ensuring safe drug handling

  • Assisting with reception and client communication to create a seamless experience

  • Participating in stock management, equipment upkeep, and clinic hygiene routines

  • Taking part in training and coaching where needed to support team growth

  • Helping promote preventative healthcare to clients

  • Contributing positively to daily operations and the wider veterinary team culture

This is a role where your nursing expertise genuinely makes an impact.

What You Can Expect in Return

  • A competitive salary in the region of €30,000–€35,000 DOE

  • A workplace that invests in its nursing team at every stage

  • Strong CPD support, with encouragement for further certifications

  • A collaborative, professional environment that values every member of the team

  • Access to modern equipment and a clinic setup designed for efficient, high-quality care

If you’re a capable, enthusiastic RVN looking to take on a meaningful role within a well-supported clinical setting, I would love to connect with you.
