Lloyd & Cowan Veterinary Recruitment are delighted to be working with one of the leading independent poultry veterinary practices across the UK & Ireland as they continue to grow their specialist team in Ireland.
This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced Poultry Vet or a Veterinary Surgeon with a genuine interest in developing a long-term career within the poultry sector. Recent graduates with a strong interest in poultry medicine and production will also be considered through the practice’s structured internship programme.
Based in Monaghan, you’ll join a highly respected team providing independent consultancy services across the Broiler, Layer, Turkey, and Game Bird industries. The role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with producers and integrators, focusing on flock health, welfare, epidemiology, and production performance within a progressive and innovative environment.

The Role:
- Provide on-farm consultancy and veterinary support to poultry clients
- Develop strong relationships with farmers, producers, and integrators
- Work closely with flock health, welfare, production, and disease prevention programmes
- Utilise data-driven technologies and systems to provide actionable insights and improve productivity
- Be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment with excellent mentorship available
What They’re Looking For:
- Experienced Poultry Vet OR an experienced mixed/farm vet with a strong interest in poultry
- Strong interest in epidemiology, flock health, welfare, and production medicine
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Eligible for VCI / RCVS registration
