A great opportunity has arisen for 2 part-time Vets to work sole charge at two of their branch surgeries.
Here at Lloyd & Cowan we have been working closely with a practice in Leeds that have been providing excellent Veterinary care to the pets of West Yorkshire for more than 60 years. They have expanded into one of the area’s largest Small Animal practices, with 7 branches, extending the range of services in many fields of Veterinary medicine, imaging, and surgery.
There are two roles up for grabs, whichever takes your fancy!
There is a part-time role at their Surgery in Leeds, which is an operating branch for routine operations. It would be three days a week, working Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. They can make this role flexible, and you could work some school hour days if that would suit?
A second part-time role is available at their Normanton Surgery for 2 days a week. It’s a consulting only branch, working job share with an experienced colleague. The position would suit someone who prefers a non-surgical role and enjoys consults.
A weekend rota could be included as either a consult only role at branch or a hospital-based role, so you can be involved with more advanced cases, if desirable.
Both roles would suit a Veterinary Surgeon who is confident at working sole charge and would enjoy running the branch on their own. You would receive client and patient continuity by working at a branch surgery; this creates a stronger bond between you and the clients. They can offer a high degree of support from experienced colleagues and certificate holders in many disciplines that can aid you in managing cases within your branch.
What they offer:
6 weeks paid holiday, including Bank Holidays
Opportunity to buy and sell holiday
£1750 CPD Allowance per annum – more if a certificate holder
