We’re working with a busy, well-equipped veterinary hospital in South Wales, looking for an experienced ECC Veterinary Surgeon to join their night team on a 7 nights on / 21 nights off rota.
The hospital provides emergency and out-of-hours care for approximately 40 local practices, creating a genuinely varied caseload across emergency medicine, critical care and surgery.
The role
You’ll be joining an established night service rather than being left to manage everything alone.
During your working block, you’ll be alongside other experienced vets with support from a large team of RVNs, Animal Care Assistants and dedicated reception staff.
They’re looking for someone with previous ECC experience who is comfortable managing emergencies, making clinical decisions and taking ownership of more complex medical and surgical cases.

The rota
This is where the role really stands out.
7 nights on / 21 nights off.
Rather than working a traditional week-on/week-off night rota, you’ll have three full weeks away from the hospital between working blocks.
For someone who enjoys ECC but also values travel, family time, further study or simply having a life outside of work, it's a pretty difficult rota to ignore.
