Night Registered Veterinary Nurse – Hertfordshire (7 on, 7 off)
Permanent | Part-Time | 24-Hour Hospital Environment
We’re working with a busy, well-equipped veterinary hospital in the Hertfordshire area, currently seeking a dedicated Night RVN to join their committed team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who enjoys the variety and pace of hospital life, and is looking to develop their clinical experience with a diverse and often complex caseload.
This permanent, part-time position is ideal for those who thrive in a collaborative night team setting, working alongside an experienced veterinary surgeon and a fellow RVN. The rota is a consistent 7 nights on, 7 nights off, offering the perfect balance of work and recovery.
What You’ll Be Doing

Providing high-quality inpatient care during night hours

Assisting in surgical and emergency procedures

Supporting with nurse-led responsibilities and Schedule 3 tasks

Handling admissions, discharges, and medication dispensing

Monitoring patients post-operatively and during recovery

Collaborating closely with the vet and support team to ensure exceptional continuity of care

What We’re Looking For

RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

Confident working nights in a hospital setting

Strong team player who can also work autonomously

Comfortable managing emergency cases and inpatient care

Previous hospital or out-of-hours experience beneficial but not essential

Enthusiastic about delivering excellent client communication and clinical standards
