We're recruiting an experienced Night RVN for the emergency and critical care team at a busy, purpose-built hospital on the beautiful West Sussex coast, just outside Chichester. This is a proudly independent group, and that independence shows in everything from the clinical freedom you'll have to the genuinely warm, home-from-home feel of the building the moment you walk in.
The role
Working nights, you'll be at the heart of emergency care and first-opinion support, nursing patients on-site in modern, integrated facilities designed so the overnight team can closely supervise and tailor care to every animal in the kennels. It's real ECC nursing: the kind that stretches you, builds your confidence, and lets you develop the areas of special interest that matter most to you.
The hospital runs a genuine 24/7 on-site emergency service, with vet and nurse teams working around the clock, so you're never carrying the night alone. You're part of a close, supportive team that has each other's backs.
What's on offer:
Salary of £34,000 – £36,000 per annum, depending on experience
7 weeks' holiday (including bank holidays)

Rota: 4-on, 7-off, 4-on, 6-off, plus 1 twilight, averaging 36 hours per week on an annualised hours contract. Plenty of proper time off to actually rest and recharge.
Who we're looking for:
You'll be an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS) with a valid driving licence and at least 2–3 years' experience (sadly no new graduates this time). Previous ECC experience or certificates will put you at the front of the queue.

The city itself is compact and full of character, with Roman walls, the renowned Festival Theatre, independent shops and easy cafés. And it's well connected, with Portsmouth, Brighton and Southampton all under an hour and London around 90 minutes away. Whether you want coast walks after a run of nights or countryside on your days off, it's all right here.
