Mixed Veterinary Surgeon- Good Client Base/ Up to £68k 

·         Up to £68,000 salary (negotiable D.O.E)

·         Relocation allowance of up to £5,000

·         Welcome bonus up to £5,000 

Located in Sutherland, Scotland, the established Veterinary Practice is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their veterinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about providing high-quality veterinary care in both small animal and farm settings. 

About the Role: 

·         20-minute appointments between 9 am and 5 pm on weekdays

·         1 or 2 days of surgery a week, with the rest of the time split between consults and farm animal work

·         Working up to 40 hours per week across 5 days (Monday to Friday)

·         1 in 5 weekend on-call rota with a day off in lieu and 1 night per week out-of-hours (OOH)

·         OOH call-out bonus scheme in place

·         Consideration for full-time, part-time, or job share candidates 

About the Practice: 

·         Rural-based practice covering the entire county of Sutherland

·         Mixed practice - 60% small animal and 40% farm (beef and sheep)

·         Clientele includes crofting clients, larger farms, and sporting estates

·         Small animal work includes pets, working dogs, and local wildlife

·         Team of 5 vets and 4 nurses with excellent support

Applicant Requirements: 

·         Comfortable with a varied caseload

·         Enjoy working with a diverse range of clients

·         Experience to carry out routine operations

·         Good knowledge of farm animals

·         Willingness to join the on-call rota

·         Help available for more challenging cases

·         RCVS registered
