We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced mixed vet (with farm bias) to join this friendly team, situated in the beautiful Scottish Borders.

The clinic work with many forward-thinking farmers – and the caseload involves working with many large commercial suckler cow and sheep farmers, with several pedigree herds and flocks and a number of large dairy farms. They are well equipped with Easiscans, Duoscan, bull and ram testing equipment with phase contrast microscopes, in-house LA biochemistry & haematology.

  • Ideally they are looking for a vet with good communication skills and an ability to develop strong working relationships with the loyal and long-standing local clients. The position would involve health planning and advising on preventative medicine and management, as well as the usual routine and emergency work.

The practice has a number of assistants enrolled in certificate programmes (with study time provided) to actively promote career progression. T

  • his position would be suitable for a mixed vet, there would be the opportunity to maintain and develop a SA interest as part of the Small Animal team.

  • The role would suit a confident vet who enjoys working as part of an experienced, enthusiastic team, providing excellent clinical care and who is keen to develop their skills.

Salary up to £51K depending on experience, in return for a 4 ½ day week, with an equal share of OOH rota and a company vehicle.
