Mixed Veterinary Surgeon – Cork, Ireland
Experienced Vet or New Graduate Welcome

A well-established mixed animal practice in the beautiful Mid-Cork region is looking to welcome a Veterinary Surgeon to their friendly and supportive team. This is a great opportunity for either an experienced vet or a confident new graduate looking to build strong farm animal exposure within a genuinely supportive environment.

The Role
This is a true mixed position with a strong large animal focus:
• 70% Large Animal (primarily dairy)
• 30% Small Animal

You’ll be joining an experienced and down-to-earth team of 3 vets alongside supportive office staff, with excellent day-to-day collaboration and mentorship available.

The practice offers a varied caseload and would suit someone who enjoys building client relationships and becoming part of the local farming community.

What’s on Offer
• Immediate start available
• Competitive salary depending on experience
• VDS & VCI fees covered
• 1 in 3 rota with shared holiday cover
• Vehicle provided
• Accommodation available if required
• Discounted veterinary care for your own pets
• Supportive team environment with strong mentorship for newer graduates

The Practice
The team prides itself on maintaining a friendly, professional and supportive working culture where vets are encouraged to develop clinically while still maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Location
Located within a quiet village setting in Mid-Cork, the practice offers the perfect balance between rural practice and accessibility:
• Just 30 minutes from Cork City
• Easy access to Cork & Kerry airports
• Fantastic area for outdoor lifestyles including hiking, cycling and water sports

What They’re Looking For
• VCI registered (or eligible)
• Interest in mixed practice work
• DAFM TB testing qualification advantageous, although support can be provided if needed
• Team-oriented and personable approach

This would suit someone looking for a supportive mixed practice with strong farm exposure, genuine mentorship and a fantastic lifestyle location in Ireland.
