We at Lloyd & Cowan Veterinary Recruitment is working with a well-established, purpose-built regional practice in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, offering an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian seeking flexibility, support, and a varied caseload.
This role is open to both mixed animal and small animal–focused veterinarians, with caseload tailored to suit individual interests and experience. The practice offers a strong community focus, excellent mentorship, and a genuinely supportive working environment.
Located in a vibrant regional area surrounded by beaches, national parks, and well-known coastal destinations, the position offers an outstanding work-life balance.
About the Practice
This is a mixed animal practice (approx. 85% small animal / 15% large animal) with strong ties to the local community, wildlife groups, and a nearby university.
The team includes:
- 3 experienced veterinarians
- 12 supportive nurses and support staff
Facilities
- In-house laboratory and pathology
- Digital radiography
- Ultrasound
- Fully equipped surgical and treatment facilities
The Role
- Small animal or mixed caseload (flexible focus)
- 1 night on-call per week + 1 weekend in 4 (Friday–Sunday)

- Registered Veterinarian in Australia (or eligible)
