Mixed Practice – Scottish Borders. Excellent opportunity for a mixed Vet to work at a practice in the beautiful Scottish Borders.
We are working with a practice in Cheeklaw that are looking for a caring, enthusiastic Vet to join their friendly team and provide an excellent service to their great clients and their animals.
On the small animal side, they aim to give an excellent first opinion service to their loyal and longstanding local clients, valuing continuity of care, with the opportunity to work up your own cases.
Their farm animal side involves work with forward-thinking farmers – mainly with suckler cows and sheep, with some pedigree herds/ flocks, and dairy work. The position would involve advising on preventative medicine planning, as well as routine and emergency work. There is always excellent support available from experienced colleagues. The practice has a number of assistants enrolled in certificate programmes (with study time provided) to actively promote career progression.
The role would suit a confident Vet who enjoys working as part of an experienced, enthusiastic team, providing excellent clinical care, and who is keen to develop their skills. Set in a rural location near the coast, but within an hour of Edinburgh, our ideal candidate has a good teamwork ethic and high standards of client care.
A generous remuneration package in return for a 4 ½ day week, with equally shared farm-only OOH, includes 5 days funded CPD, and an Income Protection Policy, 30 days holiday, and a vehicle.
