Mixed / Large Animal Veterinary Surgeon | County Cavan, Ireland
Are you an experienced mixed or large animal vet looking for a varied position with a friendly and supportive team?
Our client is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established practice on the outskirts of Cavan. Easily accessible from the M3 and approximately 1.5 hours from Dublin, the location offers an excellent balance of scenic countryside, welcoming communities and convenient transport links.
The Role
This is a genuine mixed position, divided approximately:

70% large animal
-
30% small animal
The large animal caseload primarily consists of farm work involving cattle and sheep, including a good mix of suckler and beef herds.
On the small animal side, you’ll work from a spacious, fully equipped clinic alongside an experienced team of veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and support colleagues. The practice handles a broad first-opinion caseload, ranging from preventative healthcare and routine procedures to emergency medicine.
The rota includes 1:4 weekends and some out-of-hours responsibilities.
