Veterinarian – Mixed or Small Animal Opportunity | 9-Day Fortnight | No Weekends or After-Hours
An exciting opportunity is available for a Veterinarian to join a well-established mixed animal practice in Central Queensland. This role offers an excellent work-life balance, a supportive team environment, and the flexibility to focus primarily on small animals while incorporating large animal work if desired.
About the Role
This full-time position would suit a veterinarian who enjoys a balance of consulting and surgery. The caseload is predominantly small animal, with opportunities to work with equine and livestock for those interested in mixed practice.
Roster includes:
- Full-time position
- 9-day fortnight
- 8.5-hour workdays with a 1-hour lunch break
- No after-hours, weekends or public holiday work
Facilities & Support
You'll be joining a modern, purpose-built practice equipped with:
- In-house pathology
- Digital radiography & dental radiography
- Ultrasound
- Access to an imagist
- Separate dog and cat wards
- Spacious surgical and treatment areas
- Highly skilled consultation nurses providing excellent clinical support

About You
- BVSc (or equivalent) and eligibility to practise in Australia
- Confident with small animal consultations and routine surgery
- Interest in mixed animal work is welcome but not essential
