We are pleased to be representing a 2-site, mixed practice in the beautiful East Yorkshire with one site situated close to the busy city centre of Hull, and the other in the lovely village of Hedon, just on the outskirts of the town giving you a great mix of rural and city life. They are RCVS accredited to General Practice standard for Small Animal, Farm and Equine and an ISFM Silver accredited cat friendly practice.
The large animal office is situated at the Hedon practice with most of the work being ambulatory although they can see the smaller species of farm animals at the practice if necessary.
They offer a wide and varied caseload at both of the sites treating all animals of all shapes and sizes making each day an interesting one!
Training and mentoring are very important , and all career aspirations are actively encouraged and supported. They are also a Veterinary Nurse training practice and have a VetGDP adviser and love to support new colleagues at the start of their careers.
The Role
Starting salary of £31,500
4 days 8:30am – 17:00pm and 1 day 8:30am – 13.00pm
1 night on call per week and 1:4 weekends on call
You will be part of an exceptional Graduate Development Programme, this means you will be able to embrace a blended learning approach of training days, in-house mentoring, CPD, and clinical practice, creating a varied platform for you to grow and develop as a Veterinary Surgeon. You will be offered both supportive 1-to-1 and group mentoring sessions, for engagement and interaction, as you develop an invaluable skillset. From surgical/medical experience, to enjoying teamwork, providing refined customer service, and gaining business knowledge to support the security of great patient care.
