Position Overview:
An esteemed veterinary hospital in Concord, CA is seeking a skilled Medical Director to lead their dedicated team. This role involves providing exceptional leadership, managing and mentoring veterinarians, and ensuring regulatory compliance within a supportive and collaborative environment. The Medical Director will also contribute to the practice’s clinical work while overseeing the overall management of hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Veterinary Care: Uphold high standards of veterinary care, manage medical quality, and handle clinical duties.

  • Administration: Address client and veterinary complaints, develop medical policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage scheduling and inventory.

  • Leadership: Mentor staff veterinarians, lead interviews for new hires, identify and implement new services, and monitor practice performance.

  • Development: Plan for operational challenges and revenue success; make strategic adjustments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree

  • 3+ years of clinical experience

  • Previous leadership or management experience preferred

  • Active State Veterinary License
