Position: Locum Large Animal Veterinary Surgeon
Location: Northallerton
Start Date: January (Ongoing Role)
Key Responsibilities: As a Locum Large Animal Veterinary Surgeon, you will be involved in a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
Sick farm animal care
Calving’s, caesareans, and prolapses
Lambing’s, caesareans, and prolapses
TB work (if qualified)
LDA/RDA ops
Other farm operations such as fistulas and hernias
Castrations and dehorning
Small holding work with goats, alpacas, and pigs
Herd/flock health planning visits
Requirements:
Experience in large animal veterinary care
Ability to perform a range of farm animal procedures
Competence in fertility work for dairy and beef
Qualified for TB work (if applicable)
Flexibility to handle a diverse caseload
Ability to conduct small holding work with various animals
Basic equine knowledge for limited horse work
