Lead Veterinary Surgeon- Modern Practice/ Worklife Balance

Lloyd & Cowan is a specialist Veterinary Recruitment Consultancy who are delighted to be representing an established Modern Practice based in the Grays area of Essex who are actively recruiting a Lead Veterinary Surgeon.

The Position:

  • Ensure all team members provide quality and ethical care to all clients and their pets

  • Assess and examine and diagnose patients’ medical issues

  • Perform surgery, dress and treat wounds

  • Perform diagnostic laboratory, imaging and ultrasound testing where required

  • Prescribe medication

  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures

The Role:

  • The successful candidate will be a driven, dynamic, ambitious individual with exceptional communication skills.

  • Looking for someone with at least 2 years of UK (or UK equivalent) small animal experience who practices to a very high standard using an evidence based approach.

  • There are partnership opportunities available for the right individual, so an interest/experience in business and leadership is also desirable.

  • This role covers 40 hours a week, spread across 4 working days per week, providing great work-life balance. The shift pattern includes 1:3 Saturdays.

  • Full time salary package up to £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
