Lead Veterinary Surgeon (Farm Animal)- Experience Team of Vets/ Development

About the Practice:

Located in the picturesque St Boswells in the Scottish Borders, is a thriving mixed practice. With approximately 70% small animal, 30% farm animals, and a standalone regenerative medicine and rehabilitation unit, this practice offers a diverse and dynamic environment. The practice is supported by a dedicated team of Vets, RVN’s, and front-of-house staff.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

·         As the Lead Veterinary Surgeon for Farm Animals, the successful candidate will lead the large animal team, managing 5 large animal vets, and supporting the Clinical Director to ensure the farm side of the business continues to thrive.

·         The role involves working with a loyal client base of mainly spring-calving beef and sheep clients, including a dairy segment.

·         Responsibilities also include overseeing the flock club and beef club, promoting engagement after pandemic and maternity disruptions.

The Ideal Vet:

·         The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and friendly farm-only or mixed veterinary surgeon with excellent communication skills.
