An established mixed practice in the Newry and Mourne area is looking to welcome an experienced Farm Veterinary Surgeon. Backed by a wider veterinary group, they offer the stability of a larger organisation while maintaining the feel of a well-run, local farm practice with a strong reputation.
The Role
This is a genuinely varied farm caseload across a loyal and progressive client base. Work includes dairy herd health and fertility, beef production, youngstock, routine TB testing, and emergency farm calls. There is a good mix of proactive herd work alongside traditional ambulatory duties, with scope to develop clinical interests.
The Team
You will be joining an experienced and supportive team with strong collaboration across vets and nurses. The practice is well equipped, with reliable backup always available, creating a positive and practical working environment.
Location
Based in Newry, you get the best of both worlds. A busy town with great transport links, surrounded by strong farming country and close to the Mourne Mountains, offering an excellent lifestyle alongside a quality caseload.
What They’re Looking For
A farm vet with at least 1 to 2 years’ experience (VetGDP done)
Confident with routine farm work
Keen to continue developing clinically
Open to full time or part time hours

Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm
1 in 4 on call rota
