An exciting opportunity has arisen for a practice we are working closely with to join their team in Bristol.
You will be responsible for independently managing medicine cases to a referral standard, and for communicating with clients and referring vets. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, working in collaboration with other disciplines, e.g. soft tissue surgery will be required.
It is expected you would have a 5-day working week, however this is flexible. Out of hours cover can be negotiated, availability for telephone advice will be required.
This practice is a multidisciplinary referrals practice based in the North Bristol area, offering soft tissue, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, neuro-diagnostics, dentistry and internal medicine. They pride themselves on offering excellent client care and having a friendly working atmosphere.
They are a hospital practice with vets on site 24/7 and have MRI and CT, a range of scopes, ultrasonography, onsite lab etc and a great team of experienced nurses and support staff.
As well as all that Bristol has to offer, they have great motorway access minutes away from the M4 and M5 making the Midlands, the Cotswolds, South Wales and the South West all within easy reach.
About the Team and Culture
They are a team of experienced advanced practitioners providing high level referrals for the South West, South Wales and beyond. They are primarily based in a large hospital practice with a separate busy first opinion team.
You would be expected to take responsibility for your cases and help build the internal medicine service offered by the practice. They have a team of 13+ nurses to support their clinicians, they have specialist imaging support and you would also have the support of a diploma holder in internal medicine for advice.
They would expect applicants to be advanced practitioners in small animal medicine or above and have experience and confidence in managing referral level cases, including writing referral reports.
