We’re working with an established veterinary group opening a brand-new, purpose-built small animal clinic in Dublin 8, and they’re looking for an RVN to become their Head Veterinary Nurse.
You do not need to have been a Head Nurse before. The team are equally interested in an experienced, confident RVN who is ready for more responsibility and wants the opportunity to develop into leadership with the support of an established veterinary group behind them.
The role
This is a full-time, 40-hour position working Monday to Friday, with no weekends or OOHs.
The clinic will initially be closed at weekends. As the practice becomes established, they may consider opening on Saturdays, but this isn't confirmed and, if introduced, Saturdays would be shared across the team.
You'll take the lead on maintaining high nursing standards, supporting and mentoring the wider nursing team and helping shape how the nursing side of a completely new clinic operates.
The new purpose-built practice will be equipped with an in-house laboratory, diagnostics and imaging facilities, alongside everything needed to provide a high standard of first-opinion care.
What they're looking for
You'll need to be an experienced RVN who takes pride in delivering excellent patient care and enjoys supporting the people around you.
Previous Head Nurse experience is welcomed, but absolutely isn't essential. If you're a strong RVN who feels ready to take the next step, they'd genuinely like to hear from you.
You must be VCI registered or eligible for VCI registration.
